http://www.tbssowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=94616&goto=newpost

I purchased a precut dash pod from crate engine depot ( http://www.crateenginedepot.com/SS-D...4C-P17415.aspx ) to install the assembly to.
I decided to mock this up first. When I did, I found placing the angled ring over the dash plug with the gauge didn't look good at all.
I removed the dash plug and just placed the gauge and angled ring over the opening in the dash where the dash plug goes. I found that the angled ring fits perfectly over the hole and looks OEM with the gauge in place.
This is where the work begins. To install it this way you have to use the supplied aluminum bracket (both the gauge and angled rings come with these) that came with the gauge. I decided to use the one that came with the gauge because it is thinner and easier to work with. (I haven't done this yet)
The work I am talking about is the removal of dash bezel to install all this correctly.
All I can say is, it was a learning experience getting this bezel out. Getting all the screws removed was easy. Actually removing the bezel was a PITA.
I don't know if removal of the steering column plastic is required but I found it helped free up some wiggle room (BTW, that hidden screw that holds the upper steering column plastic on caused me some headaches because I didn't know it was there initially :fist:).
I also removed the lower kick panel to expose the 3 lower screws to the bezel. There are 2 upper screws and one other screw by the 12v outlets. Total of 6 screws holding bezel on and 5 harness connectors to unplug. I unplugged only 3 and found that the 2 others going to the headlight switch didn't need to be removed because I just removed the entire switch assembly from the back of the dash.
The windshield wiper switch connector was also a PAIN! I recommend pressing in the two retaining clips from behind the bezel and pushing it out towards you and then release the plug connector.
Anyways, the hard part is physically removing the dash bezel. I do not know what is required to make the removal easier.
The gear selector gets in the way, so you have to place the key in the ignition the slide it back. Now the key will have to stay in place. The main thing in the way of getting the bezel out is the key tumbler plastic and the key itself. If this could easily be removed (I doubt it is) then removal of the bezel would be pretty easy.
Mine is now removed. Install of the gauge and bracket will be next week.
Here's a picture of the mess for MY WAY of installing this gauge:
More pictures to come.

Thu, 20 Jun 2013 00:34:20 GMTI have some more parts to sell here's the list-
USED GMPP LS3 carb intake it has been machined for EFI and has a spot on the bottom from a nitrous fogger nozzle that was welded up. $170 shipped
USED Fabricated throttle body Elbow- this fits the intake , but I am not sure what style throttle body will fit it ? I was just going to drill it for a 92mm FAST. $75 shipped
NEW FAST LS3 50lb injectors set of 8 includes flow balance test sheet. $225 shipped
NEW Trailblazer SS oil filter plug for remote filter systems to reduce oiling problems common with the filter location on our vehicles. $40 shipped
USED LS3 Titanium intake and exhaust valves these are not cut down or modified Nascar valves, these are actual Victory 1 titanium valves they have hardened tips so they do not require lash caps and they are factory size. These are from a dirt track car we had Victory as a sponsor on and ran the LS3 heads. They have 300-400 laps on them with a hydraulic roller so they are in great shape. I know there are many rumors around titanium valves and titanium has a longer fatigue life than stainless and many manufacturers like Toyota have been using titanium valves in their production cars for the past 5 years. $225 shipped

reattach the tiny tabs on the mirror lights cover that broke when I was removing them to put in LEDs
To secure the weather stripping around the rear doors that always seemed to hang down below the door and was an eyesore
I relocated the PCM to make some room for the intercooler piping and tried to double sided 3M tape it to the battery box but that didn't work so I added Gorilla Glue to the mix and BAM! It hasn't moved since.
I filled in a hole in the firewall that I routed the boost gauge tube through since it expands when drying it filled in the extra space
repaired the vanity light cover that broke off near the hinge. Couple of drops and it is solid now
I relocated my stock fogs in the front bumper cover to make room for the intercooler and used a few drops for added insurance with the new mounting locations
