DRL defeat / disable: now with or without QUAD BEAMS!!
Okay guys me and Frank (Checo3423) figured out that Lancematic messed up on one of the old posts:
http://www.tbssowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11135
The above listed allows DRL disable (keeps auto-headlights) but NO QUAD BEAMS (unless you do cut and splice--see post 4).
We then considered the trailvoy QUAD BEAM option.
http://forums.trailvoy.com/articles....ticle&artid=37
However, I figured out by using some of Lancematic's pin identifications that there is a better way to do the 'trailvoy' option.
So.....here is the jeTTTstream DRL defeat / disable w/ QUAD beam option!
This is a 'BETTER' version of the Trailvoy link...instead of ground and 12v terminals we use the lancematic pins!
You can compare to the trailvoy one to see what I did.
but, for now DRL defeated WITH QUADS (but, no auto-headlamps!):
F9 (white): 85
B6 (white): 86 ==(12v from lancematic--trailvoy had 12v hardwire)
E7 (pink): 30 ==Ground (when headlights on--trailvoy had a hardwire ground)
A5 (pink w/white stripe): 87 (12v when headlamps on--aka headlamp indicator light)
Thanks and good luck!
Now let's figure out the quad w/fog! (this might be a small jumper in the fuse box instead!)
-Mike
I have an illustration but I am exceeding my attachment quota

I did it like this today on my 2002 TB & on a 06 TBSS & both worked perfectly.
I have DRL kill, Quad/High beam & auto lights everything works perfect.
This is all done under the back driver side seat.
This is very easy to do & everything works %100 perfect!
I have HID headlights & Fogs, everything is flawless!

I performed this DRL/QUAD/Auto lights yesterday and noticed that when the key is off and lights are off...if you put the high beams on(press the staulk forward), the low and high beams will come on and stay ON. Anyone else notice this??

im having this same problem! what am i doing wrong?
the jumper wire on the green and yellow im confused on. i cut the green wire, and spliced it into the yellow. thats all im supposed to do correct? and tape off the end of the green wire running into the bcm
also the relay clicks when the lights are flipped on. is that normal?

I just did this and everything works perfect! i'm really happy i didn't run into any issues. i had a bit of trouble at first because the yellow wire is a really dull yellow (almost white), so i thought maybe my wiring was different. then, after i backed it into the driveway, the headlights were still on. since they were still on in park, i figured it was the auto headlights. i took off down the street and they turned off. Yay, no more DRL, plus I still have auto headlights and quad beams! my HIDs arrive on friday, so i'll be set! thanks for the great write-up

I dont think the jetttstream method works on the 2006's. I did exactly how the picture shows. You can't mess that up. Its straight foward and i did it just as the diagram illustrates and it doesn't work. Unless other 2006 owners have had success using this method.

You could try and reseat the low beam relay and the high beam relay. The low beam relay being prone to failure.
I am not 100% sure exactly how this is supposed to work. Can someone post up what the voltages should be when the high beams are selected to keep the low beams on? (In reference to the F10 and E4 wires?) I know it uses the flash to pass circuit E4. But I am confused on the BCM needing to see this or the body side. (Yes, diagram shows the splice on the body side.) The BCM would control the relays so how does the car side of the wires being spliced force the flash to pass mode that keeps the low beams “on” with the high beams?
In other words how exactly does this work? (No not just for my confusion, but to help others troubleshoot and get this working. )

The reason I am going to stay with this method is the fact I am sick of my HIDS turning on and off in the car wash or garage.
But, I am glad we have the two versions documented now!!

Ya I did your method to & it works perfect, but like you said NO autolights. It is great that there is 2 methods to pick from, but I like my auto lights coming on i'm so used to it now I wouldn't want to lose that.

Lance did mess up though---it's not the white wire (F10 is not white).

Wow never saw that my post went so far. I'll have to look back at my post and figure out if something was wrong. If there was a color problem all I can figure is I did the mod at night and I have some color blindness so go figure!
