The side by side picture looks like one manifold has a metal fitting for the pcv and the other plastic. Both of the manifolds I have had were the plastic style. Is this a way to tell the difference b/w early and late intakes?

Nice. This'll come in handy when I pull my intake off in a few weeks.
Thanks Kelly

This is a really easy job and the right up makes it even easier.
I pulled the Maggie this weekend and installed the stock intake manifiold.
Heck of alot easier than any SBC, BBC or SBF I have ever done.

The metal elbow does not identify a difference. That is a singular mod to that one intake.

Maybe I'm missing something, but what's the difference between the two intakes??
What is the left unit off of? Are these just different model year GM LS2 OEM intakes off of different model years TBSS's?
Jim
