The Crossmembers are for the SSR and TBSS. These will replace the existing Crossmembers under the oil pan. These are made with Chrome Moly Tubing, Laser Cut Plates and TIG Welded to keep the weight down and enhance strength.

Benefits

1) Will allow the use of a C6 Factory Rear Sump Oil Pan for the SSR and 2WD TBSS. (SSR's have some fitment issues with the C6 Oil Pan when using Kooks 1 7/8" headers. There seem to be two different batches, the most recent has a primary tube that is in the way of the oil pan. The primary tube will need to be moved over)

2) Lighter - Stock Crossmembers = 15 lbs - New Crossmembers = 12 lbs (12/15 reduced 4/5 = 80% of stock weight)

3) Will Make Service/Replacement Easier - Steering Rack, Transmission, Starter, Headers, Oil Pan.

4) Driving/Stability Benefits – Added strength and front suspension support at the lower frame.

5) Will allow the use of the Simple Engineering Stiffening/Skid Plate - Suspension / Frame

This kit is a big plus if you're looking for a tighter suspension feel. Sway is greatly reduced and the steering wheel input is much more precise. Money well spent IMO. Thanks for another great product Joe.

Just installed it this past week with the stiff plate and let me tell all you guys
This crossmember is a must have.Like t-mac said it Sway is reduced so much that my truck barely wobbles or sways from side to side at all.

Now after reading benefit #1. My question is when you say ssr and TBSS(2wd) in reference to using c6 equipment along with your xmembers. Do you mean c6 equipment can only be used on 2wd TBSS or that your xmembers can only be used on 2wd TBSS? If in fact they can be used on an awd TBSS will the simple engineering plate work in conjunction?

The Crossmembers and Stiffening Plate can be used on all TrailBlazer SS's.

The C6 Oil Pan only works on the SSR's and 2WD TBSS's.

I think he means that you can only use the c6 pan with the 2wd and ssr.not the awd.
and with the crossmembers will allow it easier to install
