A few weeks ago I sold my intake to this kid, I've been very up front with him from the start.
This is my forsale thread. $120 shipped for everything. Box, intake and HSRK. I broke the box told him about it. So I never shipped the cover out.

So for $110 thise dude got a intake and HSRK and real nice clamps. Sounds like a pretty good deal. Now since he doesn't have the box he is demanding a $30 refund.
I mean for real, the dude got a deal and is still unhappy. I said I'd give him $20 back or send him a cover I can get my hands on.
I'm about to tell him to get fucked!

Shipped out today, slight problem though. Since my stock cover was all cut up for air flow I dropped it while boxing everything up and it split right down the center. I didn't include it in the box because it broke. I know I said it was going with the intake.

I didn't get a tracking number because I used the cheapest Post Office shipping. Remember it went ground, not air. It should have been there Fri or Sat. At latest it should be there today or Tomorrow.
Relax buddy, I'm not out to rip you or anyone off. Like I said about the box, mine was just a stock modded box, I can tell you want you need to cut. I'm more than willing to give you $20 back because I dropped the air box and it broke. |

Are you really going to argue over a little bit of dust? For real? The intake its self is mint, not a damn thing wrong with it, not a dent or any coating peeling off.
You got a good deal dude. The intake alone is worth more than $175 then add in the $40 HSRK. Then add in those clamps at $10 a pieace.
If you are that flipping bent over the box, I'll get one and send it to you. "$30 atleast" for a refund is a little over the top, considering you already got the deal of a life time. |

I dunno, I'm two seconds away from saying fuck him. He got a fucking deal, and is still not happy. I'm not a company that has to make sure my costomers are happy. I'll give him $20 back at most. Even if I do that, he still got the intake and HSRK for $90 shipped to his door. Then I'm ripping myself off, I paid double that for it.
I'm not going to be pushed around. Give me a Bad rep point for all I fucking care.

i also have a airbox i will send him free of charge...
sounds like i better send it through full concours detail first...
shit happens, you told him it was broke, refunded a few bucks, and he still wasnt happy.
he got a good deal on an intake, and hsrk, and complained about a little dirt... he can get over the dust... it cleans off with some detail spray or glass cleaner...
as for the shipment... usps ground does NOT always give you a tracking number, nor does it always ship on the day its dropped off... i have had NUMBEROUS occasions where in the tracking info the dates have been changed by the usps...
so the shipment date is not really a big deal it got there in one piece and thats all that matters....
sounds like everyone just needs to chill out. there are at least 3 airboxes offered in here free of charge now... all the guy has to do is pm someone his address and it will get shipped out. (make sure to let us know if you ship him one so we all dont ship one)
at this point, you have done what you should, and i see no reason to refund anymore money.

I haven't refunded him anything yet Greg. I will glady give you the money to ship him the cover out. I have his addy still saved in a PM I can give you.
BTW I'm still waiting on these "pics" of "crap" on the intake. Anyone who knows me and or my trucks KNOWS there is no "crap" on that intake, besides maybe a little bit of dust. You can eat a 5 corse meal off my engine bay.

hey, tim is a good guy, and would NEVER short someone or pull one over on them...
he broke the airbox, plain and simple. so be it, if the guy is that worried about getting one... ill mak sure its the cleanest freaking airbox he could possibly find.

Not to be a dick but it seems its always the new guys that are coming in and causing problems! To me that was a great deal and crying about it being dirty really? I've bought so Many things here that were used and dirty I didn't care the deal was great and that's why most of us buy things here,
