LSX 454 Swap
My 06 AWD TBSS hydrolocked and Gieco actually covered it so I said why not go big. Here is a list of what is going in place of the stock LS2
GM LSX 454 600hp Crate motor
FAST 102 car intake
FAST 85lb/min Injectors
102mm TB
LS1 water pump w/ idler relocation kit
LTH's(haven't decided on which ones yet
Mods already are built 4l70e 4" FWI LS7 maf
Thought I would share this info as it comes in case anyone else is interested in doing this swap because for the money the LSX 454 is a GREAT deal.

Is the 454 a tall deck? If it is then what about an intake, carb style.

So there are going to be two white 454 powered TBSSs cool! LSX block will be fine its the same size as the stock block on the outside. If you have any questions about getting the car intake to fit, holler. I had mine all mocked up with the car style and then decided to use the LSXRT.

Drove threw a body of water that was about shin high that I drive threw in my other suv(no cold air intake) all the time. First time threw in my TBSS it stalled and smoke came from the engine bay. I filed a claim with Gieco thinking lets see what happens and they cut me a check. The LSX 454 was only 9500 shipped and I already ordere it thanks anyway. As for the intake I went with the car intake. I know I will have to do some little stuff like go with a ls1 style water pump but it will be worth it. Not to mention it's your only real option with LS7 style intake ports unless you want to either 1 get a adapter plate which I'm not a fan of or get a expensive ass aftermarket Sheet metal/aluminum intake manifold.

Look for RICHIRAM he put a car style on his but it was a stock LS3 intake and he was able to use his 07 pump. With the FAST I really dont know for sure if the 07 pump will work. You also can use an L99 water pump it has the right spacing to work without the spacers the LS1 needs. The L99 will move your upper radiator hose to the other side of the wp pulley. Here is what I did to make the car style 102 fit.
Cut stock bracket. I used a variety of air cut off and grinding tools and it turned out pretty good. If you get another bracket to cut look at the casting number there are different PS pumps.
Alvin at PCM 4 Less sells the idler pulley relocation kit. It has a longer bolt, speacer, and washers if you need.
Water pump. If you use an LS1 pump you will need .75 spacers to make it line up with the other pulleys. The L99 fits without spacers but the upper hose is in a funky spot.
Keep in mind you will need an new fuel rail, and somewhere to mount the EVAP solenoid which normally attaches to the truck rail. Also the vaccum hoses on the intake will have to be dealt with as well.
Cut bracket & stock
*I have more pics but they are not uploading!

About how much does the setup cost to be able to run a car 102? Out of curiosity, car intake seems to be a lot cheaper and a big plus it fits without taking a hammer to our trucks

A lot cheaper? Not really when you add up the pulley and fuel rails etc that you need to run it.

Its A LOT more work and money to make the car style fit. I believe the manifols alone are about the same price. For the car style you have to buy a different water pump, spacers, idler kit, fuel rails, vaccum hoses, and some custom work. The truck just needs massaged a little to make it fit. Then you can use pretty much all your stock stuff to finish it off.
Here are the three pumps I have. L99, LS1, and TBSS.

Another pic of what I cut.
You will need a new tensioner too.

Are you using the stock hood with ur truck 102? Did u have to dent/hit anything with a hammer? I guess the car intake is more work then its worth even tho I've found those for 799shipped

The hood isn't the issue on the truck intake. It is the cowl, and you do need to beat it with a hammer but it can be done cleanly without chipping paint.
Even if you got the car intake for $799 shipped you would be $1400 into parts by the time you had everything you needed for install.
