I agree man. From my dealings, he is a decent guy but I think he is strapped financially starting the new business in Savannah. Also IF FedEx finished packing the item, it should be on them the way I see it. Anyway, look at your options money wise between sharing expense with him and getting another one. Again, Good luck with this and I hate to see any member get in this situation.

He already admitted he packed the hood personally and completely.
Guy owes him for shitty packing unless the package was highly damaged which would show excessive shipping damage. Do you have pics of package and hood damage OP.....tell me you have pictures?

Hmmmm, I've got some clever ways to package this Corsa cat back for you in a very small box. Shipping shouldn't be too bad for me and you'll have a puzzle to tackle when you get it. By that time, I will have spent your money on blow, a dirty hooker and a very cheap, cockroach infested motel.

I've got pictures of everything... The hood on the truck, the hood being wrapped, the hood as I was unwrapping it showing the damage, and the damage to the packaging itself. Want to see?

Yes it is damaged, but I could have fixed that for less than it cost to ship back.

I wouldn't say he was a fool. I'd just say it was a poor decision, but at the same time you expect to get what you agreed to and payed for and thinking you got insurance might as well use it.

Well thanks. Fed Ex would NOT let me keep it. They said to receive any refund I'd have to send it back. Just what they told me. You're saying you would have accepted it the way it was and called it a day?

Without knowing or being able to foresee the future...I think he did the right thing, but knowing now that the seller is a DB, He prol would have kept it?

TO me it looks like it was packed decently for a hood....Corners could have use a bit more protection....but I dont see much the seller did wrong. Id get it back and just repair it.
Seriously....maybe the seller will help with the cost of repairs, would only be fair IMO, However I would be fighting FedEx on their denial with those pictures.
