Default Your thoughts on transmission issue

Under half to 3/4 throttle my trans holds the shift from first to second longer than it should, most of the time requiring me to let off the throttle. My wife took it to the dealer today and they said some crap about the truck needed to learn driving style and that it was fine. They also said they could update the tune to help. I have a tune file from PCMforLess that I will be putting on this weekend. Will the change in line pressure help or is there really something wrong with the trans.

Still under warranty so if I can get a new trans and then do the shift improver kit that would be ideal.

If it's the GM warranty, good luck..... They might void your warranty because your mods.

I think the headers would do it... They can come up with plenty of reasons (power, heat, BS, etc). Do you have a tune along with the mods, or will the PCMforless be the first? I would check into that first.

Yep, sole reason I haven't modified anything yet is because of the warranty issue. I'm trying to be very patient.

PCMforLess will be the first tune. They are going to look at it again Thursday. They still think it has something to do with a sensor or computer but they feel there is nothing wrong with the trans. What could cause the problem I am having?
