stall questions for my new rpm tranny
So i just recently purchased a used rpm level 6 for my awd...and just to give you a little back story... i have all bolt ons. and this is a nights and weekend type of dd.
Ive been doing a lot of reading and to be honest.. im tired of it. lol
i keep going back and forth between the 3200 and 3600 ...
can someone please give me some info that im either missing or ignoring? The towing isnt an issue for me btw
My first choice is the yank pts.....but what about some of these other stalls.. i read good and bad things about them..
Thanks in advance

Listen to bubba. I had a ptb3600 and thought it was too much so I wen to a 3200. Big mistake. Going back to a 3600. Its all about shit extension and rpm drop. The 3600 is awesome or awd. Call Dave and he can set you up. If you want a 3200 for the simple fact of towing or you don't want the 3600 I will be taking my 3200 out soon. Its got 190 miles on it and I would make you a hell of a deal....

I have a yank 3200 in both of my awd trailblazers. 3600 is a little to big for a DD IMO.
My truck runs in the 10's with a 3200 so you decide for yourself.

I have a Yank PTS3600 in my AWD. Its a blast. The way to go for a bolt on truck in my opinion.

Yank 3600 tbss is perfect for N/A..its just a tick looser than the ptbss 3600...I had it in my truck for 2 yrs without issue. It is now @ 4000 and in another truck that gets driven alot harder and still not a issue.
I also had a ptbss 3200 in mine when I went to nitrous but was a turd on motor only compared to the 3600..
If i was still using a Gm based transmission in my truck I would hands down have a yank in it....also if PTC wasnt know as well as they are I would have put a yank in my trans now.

With overdrive and lockup, I dont see much of a reason to go with the smaller one - it's still going to cruise the same - but be a lot more fun down low. Especially AWD.

We use Circle D converters in everything we build. We have yet to see a better converter.

I understand the concept of a power adder making more hp at less rpm so the 32 would be perfect.. obviously meaning bolt on would take longer to make more so 36 being better for it.
but whats the difference is driveability between the 32 and 36 ? And why do certain guys say the 32 is better for dd use?

I absolutely love my ptb3600 in my awd truck! With as little mods as i have it got my low-mid 1.7x 60' times first trip on the track last week. Mine is also a daily driver and once you get use to the lockup of the converter your mileage isn't effected enough to worry about. I still get pretty consistent 15-16mpg with mostly city/highway driving. I wouldn't be surprised if it got 17-18 highway if i had to drive further for work.

Yeah, I'm running a Yank and posted my results directly above your last post. The ptb3600 is one of Yank's stall that remains towing ability yet has great street manners and performance. It's night/day over the stock stall in a good way!

Yank is the way to go. Its a tried and true performer. The 3600 takes a little more throttle but is a blast to drive while maintaining perfect street manners. I have no personal experience with Huron but it looks like they build a badass piece

If you're not worried about gas mileage or towing, there's no reason not go with the 3600 with an N/A AWD truck.
