What about a metallic black? Add some flake. Just get away from the plain black?

The body shop at work told me $300 for the bumper, hood, and mirror covers if I pull them

that sounds way too cheap coy. i would ask for one what kind of paint they are using. i am particular to ppg envirobase. its a waterbase paint and it is what i used on my ss. if your parts are indeed crowes feeting then the only way to fix it permanently is to strip it down and start from the beginning. so remember two things. 1. if its too good to be true then it probably is. and 2. you get what you pay for. dont end up in the same boat a year from now.

i would be careful using the same paint they are using there. i would imagine its not a high quality paint. prep and paint are going to make all the difference. i used quality paint and was meticulous on the prep and i would bet that this paint job will last everybit of 10 yrs if i want it to.

I know for sure I need the bumper, hood and mirror covers painted to get the "off the showroom floor" look w/o inspecting every inch
