Dome light LED problem! Help!
Hey guys got a question hopefully you can help me solve. So I installed some leds in the domes and I have 2 issues.
First, when I turn the knob to turn all the lights on they dont and ive.tried the dome overide.
Second, I was disappointed they werent as bright. I was showing a buddy today and even in broad daylight they were BRIGHT as I thought they were supposed to be so I got happy even after a push on and offs they were bright. now after turning the truck off theyre back to being dull!
Please anyone with insight help!

Contact Dfwwiz, he's the LED master and I order a dome set from him and they work amazing.
All I can say is maybe you bought a cheap set with a low SMD count. I know if you just push the clear plastic domes as a button they're not as bright as if you hit the dome knob. It all depends what type they are, how many LEDs and SMD (chip from what I understand), and the direction they're pointing.

The brightness issue is just cheap LEDs

They don't come on when the doors open or anything. Any related fuses?

When you shut the car off, the voltage is lower, so brightness is lower as well.

I have the same problem. I bought the bulbs from Kevin and they are dull when u use the individually but when u hit the dome override they are bright. Once in awhile I noticed if I drive for awhile they will be bright individually. It's gotta have something to do with too much resistance in the circuit. What year trucks do u guys have. I have an 07.

06 and my LEDs are gnarly bright. I love them. Did you get blue or white? I had blue and they were awful and not bright. White is the only way to go.

It has to do with the circuit being controlled by 3 different places-the switch itself, the doors, and the override. The amount of current used by the SMDs is alot less than the stock filament bulbs so it varies. And then you have the fading light contol also. The ECM is the culprit, deciding how much current and when to send. The new vehicles are even worse needing alot of the bulbs to be canbus including HIDs.
