fuel system for boosted tbss
I am gathering parts for a mild turbo build, and was wondering if the stock fuel pump will be good enough. I will start with 8 psi boost, and work up to 10psi. Would you guys reccomend the 42 lb green injectors and a kb bap? I am also doing 317 heads, and Ls9 cam. My hp goal will be 550ish. The turbo is a bb 76mm turbonetics with a 1.0ar. I am also considering water meth if need be.

KB bap is a bandaide from what I hear, your gonna have to upgrade the pump and pretty sure everyone runs 100% meth

Walbro 400 flows more, and is cheaper. I can barely run 14psi on E85 and thats it. At 10psi you will be fine. Get the one on ebay with the install kit. It has the line, clamps, and sock. I have the LS9 cam as well, and mild home port job on the stock heads. Im using 85-90% duty cycle on FIC 1000cc injectors rated at 3bar. 105lb at 3bar is 125lb at 4bar. No way in hell 42lb injectors will work at 10psi. Get at least the 60lb injectors. If E85 is available I would do that instead and go bigger in injectors. Trust me on this, I just when through all this on my build. I could only run 6 degrees of timing on 93 octain and no meth at 6400rpm, and only 2 degress at 4800 rpms. You may get away with more at 10psi, but trust me E85 is the shiznit. You can get FIC 1000 injectors for like $600. Skip the cost of the meth, and put the money in injectors so you can run more boost. You will be addicted. The T76 is a great turbo, but compressor wise its out of breath at 16psi. Not sure how far your goona push it down the road, just thought Id let ya know. I did the Godspeed T88 for $450 on my build. You can find more info on my build thread, if you can wade through 70 pages of comments for the 30 pages of info. G/L

Im running the same turbo you are running, with a slightly larger AR. I am still on a stock pump with no issues. I will be upgrading soon, for the peace of mind.

For the cost of lonnies double pumper you can add a little bit more to it and have IPS Motorsports build you a better setup like I have in mine now.

How big of injectors are you using? And are you using the stock returnless fuel system, or do you have a boost reference regulator? Is your turbo a front mount? Are you using a bap? Sorry for all the Q's. Thanks for all info

Use the Ford Bosch m9593g302 injectors. They are ample (56#) for what you're doing and have the same plug as your stocker as well as being the same height. you won't beat them for the cost, they can be had for under $300 new. The Aeromotive stealth will be fine, you don't want to overdo it on the fuel pump, that actually causes pump failures and overheated fuel. If 10psi is truly your final goal, there's no reason to go bigger than those two.

The A1000 in his kit will support 1000hp in a boosted application. If you need more then the next step up to the Eliminator pump will support 1200hp in a boosted app.

I would rather have to much the 1st time then get on the dyno and run out.......I would be scared with the system he has from IPS it would not be enough.

Let me rephrase that. I meant if the walbro 400 fits in the stock bucket without hacking it up. Is it a direct fit is what I'm asking. I've read that it isn't in like GTOs and stuff like that.

Why would you think this fuel system would not support what you are wanting to build. This pump is the best pump on the market right now. If the 1000 is not enough then the 1000 eliminator would be more than enough.
You would need a custom fuel hat to use this pump and run a return fuel line back to the tank.
Im running E85 with 1100cc injectors on 15lbs of boost and the fuel pressure does not drop.
