Anyone know where to rent a trailer to tow the tbss
As stated I need to tow the tbss across country...
Anyone know of a company that has a car carrier capable of holding the tbss

Their Description is Sketchy.....Is it capable of towing 5200 pounds or does it have a GVRW ov 5200 which would be a 3000 pound vehicle. Based on the total weight number, I would guess the GVRW is 7500

Nope I just moved from Utah to Florida and there wasn't a single company that would rent me a trailer if i told them I was putting the SS on it. So I told them I was putting my girlfriend's HHR on it and just put the SS on it anyway. I used Budget because they were the cheapest but they're all basically the same trailer.

Rent the biggest uhaul, find a loading dock or get ramps, drive that bitch into the truck, proceed across the country and your tbss will be clean and ready to drive.

^ lmao!
Yah I have checked all sites and they all say no tbss on the trailer...
I thought about just saying I was putting my wife's car on there, then load it....but I would hate for something to happen....
If I go with the above route...the uhaul trailer should be capable or towing it right? The penske trailer is saying it holds 4,050 pounds? Which is less than the 2wd tbss...
I will be towing it with a uhaul truck....

FF,
I read it as total was 7500...
And I googled the wheelbase and all the specs of the tbss and it should work...but they said no when I called?
To use an auto carrier service it's 1300.... Ouch

All their trailers also say do not exceed 55 mph to. I take it as just a suggestion, much like the speed limit signs.

It's 55 because trailer tires at speeds greater than that with a decent weight on them tend to run hot and come apart.
And as long as you don't exceed the weight rating of the trailer, I'm not sure how they can tell you no....theres a reason for ratings and they are clearly listed on their website. I'd challenge that shit.

Have is shipped on a transport.
Looks like $1000 to ship your truck fully insured. Totally worth it IMO.

Just buy a cheap moped and have one of your friends drive the tbss there and the moped back.

I have been looking around for a auto carrier as far as ratings and price...
Thing is the army will pay for me to drive it there... But I do t want 3k miles on my truck... So I was going to pull it with the uhaul that they are paying for to include gas...
So really a auto transport service is my last option as that becomes out of pocket. Also need to ship the wife's car too...

I'm going to call uhaul today... If they say no to the tbss, then I'll tell them it's for my wife's car... At that point I can ship the Truck and tow the car, or tow the tbss and ship the car.
From looks of it, the car is cheaper to ship...

um, uhaul????? I have used their Auto transport trailer to tow the tbss a few times. They were always more concerned about what vehicles was being used to tow, not the fact that a 5k lb brick was going onto their trailer.

Thanks captain obvious...
I know uhaul... That is what I wanted to do... But they are saying the tbss is not allowed...
If you go to Penske or another site that actually lets you put the vehicle type in of what's being towed... They all say trailblazer is not allowed... Idk...
Uhaul, said they need to see the registration of whatever vehicle is going on the trailer... Lol

I had a uhaul guy tell me their car trailer weighed 8000+ lbs. That is when I gave up on ever using uhaul again.

We towed an Explorer on a uhaul trailer and never had a problem. Uhaul wouldn't let us rent the trailer when we told them an Explorer was going on it, but we told them we were hauling a Civic and then just towed the Explorer. Worked great for us.
