HELP!!! - 2009 Catch Can Install...
Ok so based on the pics that I have seen, the PCV connector on the top of engine has changed?? I don't know and I don't get it...I cannot get the plastic hose off the connect, it looks like it is all one piece and I don't want to snap it....anyone experience this?
I am trying to install a catch can....this is a pic I found on here of another install....this connector is different on mine...i guess it is prior to 09???
HERE ARE PICS OF MY TRUCK............

It's been so long since I did mine I don't remember! Doesn't one side go towards the back of the engine? And you just "jumper" the catch can?

The 09's are definitely different. I just installed my catch can the other day, and it was like the first pic you posted, a rubber hose attached to a plastic nipple. Maybe you could just cut that plastic line far enough back that you could install your supplied hose over it, and if it's not snug enough, just put a hose clamp on it.

I'm bought a couple of catch cans last summer when I bought my 09. I planned on installing them on both my 07 and my 09. Now I see this...I'm going to keep a close eye on what you do and probably do the same on my 09. Keep us updated.

keep us updated? haha, shit I was hoping for some help on this one...
and Brian...i was thinking about cuttin the hose back, but then I have no way of going back to stock cause I would need to be a whole new one of these...
and that would probably be a pretty penny from GM.
Even if I do go that route, that hose is a shiny finish so the new hose would probably slide on but if i clamp it i'm afraid the stock line which is hard plastic will crack or just create a spot for a leak or issues down the line since it would not be barbed AT ALL....
thoughts?

I know...I know...but I figured if you managed to get it working you could help us all out. Maybe someone else on here could advise if we can just swap out the 09 PCV assembly for just 06-08 style PCV in the first picture of your first post. Would probably be a hell of a lot cheaper to replace the 06-08 than the 09.

cut the line and use 80grit sand paper to rough up the finish and use a FI clamp and you should be good to go.
