WeIrDoA$$ missing something - ethics

I don't normally complain about forum members. It's not my style..... and it's bad for business.... I don't like to even give negative input on a thread. I have to share a bad experience, though.

Last summer, I accepted a "check after delivery" order from Andy Flores (WeIrDoA$$ on this forum) for a Front Stiffening Plate. After I shipped the plate to him, I waited for his check to show up for about a month. No joy. When I reminded him that he had a debt, he offered that he was having some financial issues and would get payment to me shortly. About 6-8 weeks later, I tried to contact him again....... no response to my emails.

Here I am, 7 months after shipping the part to him and I now get my emails returned, no response to snail-mail and his phone is no longer good.

I have been trusting people to make good on their promise for payment for several years now and have a really good track record of getting paid. I have such a small margin on y parts that it will take me a lot of sales to make it back to breaking even. This is bumming me out. I really don't want to hand over a $232 debt to a collection agency...... It's almost not worth my time to pursue this any farther.... but I'm kinda pissed.

Bottom line here guys...... If you have any business dealings with Andy Flores in Azusa, CA...... be aware that you better get your payment either as "cash in advance" or "cash on the spot". No PayPal, Credit Card or Personal Check.

Sorry to have to share this with you all. I have since found out that the guy has been banned from the forum. It's all starting to make sense now.

I wish him no ill fortune. If he has fallen on hard times, I'll say a prayer for him to get financially healthy again.

I know better than to hold my breath, hoping he'll pay me.

I have removed the "pay me after you get the parts" payment option from my web store. That option has now cost me about $2000 in the last year and I can't afford to let it happen again. I operate with too small of a margin on my parts to absorb that kind of a hit.

Im not surprised, if you look at his posts he has the mentality of a small child; there is a good reason he was banned............
