NO.
Please check the thread, as Jesse didn't change his axle ratios.

Any new updates or videos? Will you ever be down around the Philly area for any meets or events? I'd love to take a ride to see what the 6 speed is like.

Sorry no updates. I've been busy with school and life as a whole. I just yesterday finally nailed down a relatively aggressive engine tune that doesn't knock over 1 degree. Since the conversion, the problem has been that the deep first gear and deep rear end gearing were winding the motor too quickly for stock ECM paramters. Basically Stabilitrak and T/C were putting a SERIOUS LOCKDOWN on the motor because of too much sudden low end torque. It wasn't a problem with the weaker 5.3L and 3.42 gears. Hence I could never get a faster than stock 1/4 mile time. So I had to dive deep into the ECM's calibrations and tweak it accordingly so that it wouldn't bog or go into limp mode. Then once I got that to my liking, the temp dropped and the ECM started looking into different sections of various tables and I picked up some knock retard under certain throttle conditions.
I was in Philly two weeks ago on account that I arrived at ATCO's last race day too late. Let me know of any GTG's after New Years and I'll definitely try to make it. So you're in luck...I'll be able to give you a good ride in it that I'm proud and relatively happy with the tune.

Jesse, why don't you work with one of the tuners here to get your tune where it needs to be. they have lots of experience with these computers and i'm sure they would be a big help finding all the "hidden secrets" in the tune. I'm sure Alvin could get this thing dialed in pretty quick then we could see what it will really do. just a idea that might speed up results so people can see how well this works might sell more conversions that way.

if that were an option I would have persued it. but unfortunately I've ventured to the territory that no 1 has been. it's easy to tone for a 4l80e that spins the motor slower. But to tune for a motor that spins faster is difficult.I want the ultimate in performance from my ls 2 motor. I need tuners that understand more than volume metric efficiency spark and fuel adjustments from a class. I need people understand how carburetor, fuel injection and engine physics works. most important thing is that I need someone who understands the E67 program. many people know 1 of each but very few know all of them. Plus it will require a great deal of data logging which I'm doing anyway. sending and testing experimental tunes back and forth and paying for it is not my idea of help. plus no 1 likes to share their secrets.

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, due to seemingly an endless line of supplier management spasms, a 6L80/90 conversions are done. Not that you TBSS guys were falling over yourselves to get one, but trying to get my suppliers to commit to certain terms is too frustrating. So, the white TBRS is sold and it looks like I'll be content to have the only 6L90 TBSS.

Save the CAD files, Ill happily buy them off you at a later date and have a local shop make an adapter.

So sad. I really like the idea as well (as you know), but, as you also know, I think I am moving towards a different car sometime in the near future.
All I can say is you did a hell of a job, and too bad about all the frustrations. At least you have a unique beast, and if you ever decide to go forced induction, change those gears and you will have a great all-around SUV.

I'm sorry to hear that. Best of luck with whatever is next. Were there any lingering parts around, or were these all made to order?

Oh you can believe I have the CAD files and all the other info to convert. Plus I'm converting the white truck back to stock to trade in, so I will have a whole extra 6L80 4x4 conversion itchin' to go into something.

If you ever do decide to make another 6L90E kit, let me know. I'd buy one from you today. I was waiting to see how bad my taxes would be before I did anything. Thanks.
