Play in steering wheel?
I've noticed that the steering wheel in my past Chevies ('92 S10, '93 Caprice, '07 SS) all seem to have some steering wheel play. Especially compared to the Fords I've owned/driven and even other vehicles, which don't really have any.
I have about 1-1.5" of free movement in the steering wheel when driving at any speed. I tested it at 40 in the city, 80 on the hwy, and a few places in between.
Please, Baby Jesus, tell me there is a way to get rid of it or at least tighten it up some!!!! It annoys the shit out of me.

have you checked the front end components of your vehicles to make sure all is good.
could be anything from the inner or outer tie rods, ball joints, hubs, steering shaft, could be in the column, could be alot of stuff...
mine does this as well, but i know why mine does it.

LMAO at the homo-erotic tendencies on this forum.
 + = [and maybe some ]
I'm going to check a few of the steering components and see if anything looks or feels suspect. I'll update when I've had a chance to look.

my lowered 4wd 94 s10 blazer is the same way. has been for years. and its been lowered for over 5 years now.
just replaced the inner/outer tie rods, all 4 ball joints. and idler arm, or something like that (arm coming out of steering box) and it drove like a Cadillac for a little while. but its right back to how she was before.
