I want to say there are a few threads on Tech about them and a few guys LOST power.... Run your stock coils if you have them and sell the MSD's!

Losing power due to coils is just as crazy as claiming you gained it. The msd will stay and I have no doubt they will be just as good if not better reliability wise than stockers.

I have a friend that runs them on his GTO and makes 600+rwhp.
Cant find the link... (Back to back dyno pulls with only coils changed) But its was minimal change that can be argued over many things... just not a needed item for cash spent IMO. But if you like them

Yeah I already bought them it would be didfferen't if I was looking for a new coil set. Not to mention the color scheme is worth the little bit of money spent for a engine lifetime or cool factor.

Well my machine shop just made this intake manifold change a wash. Just to get the fuel injection bungs properly drilled out so that the injectors seal and get the mounting locations tapped which I don't know why they don't already come tapped it's gonna cost $400. Not to mention even cut down to the right size the muffler section flanges don't line up wigh something is gonna need to get bent or cut or rewelded to make it line up right. FML. Good news is all the accessories are on and I'm just waiting for my arons elbow aeromotive rails and I should be ready to take it to the dyno to get tuned.

That is a signal plate carb intake. Not a whole ton of guys using them with injectors.
It's going to be a bit soft on the bottom end but will scream on the top side.

Yeah I think that is better too for drivetrain longevity. It will have enough down low to move and like you said up top eill flow great.

The elbow came in and dam does this intake look sexy all together I cant wait to get it all together. Once the rails come in the machine shop will drill out the fuel injector ports and drill/tap the rail mount locations and this thing is set.

It's just one shop and it's not a performance based shop as the swap was supposed to just be a accessory swap to new engine and basic engine swap. If anyone in the jersey area wants to know they can PM me and I'll tell them but trust me if your not in the NJ area you will never deal with these guys. Besides we already settled on what to do I'm happy he's free of future problems and the truck is making real progress every day.

Thanks man. More pictures to come soon. Once the machine shop is done I will get to see what this engine looks like pretty much all together.

Just a update the TBSS is done with the exception of the muffler section needing to be tweaks, the intake manifold and the fuel rails setup. The company I ordered my new Aeromotive rails from is bending me over without lube waiting for rails I ordered the 20th of Jan. NEVER ORDER FROM SPARCTECK.com!!!!!! My machine shop with the intake manifold is waiting for the fuel rails so they can machine the injector bungs exactly how they need to be for my setup.....problem is I don't have the rails yet. Once those two things are done it's going right to TuneTime for a AWD dyno tune. I'll have more pictures soon but only thing really to show is that the basic engine acc. and hoses have been reconnected and the coils and plugs wires and harnesses are on and ready to rock.

I would call Aeromotive and see if their lead time is longer now, when I ordered my rails (and some fittings too) through Jegs they were back ordered and direct shipped from Aeromotive (it took 2-3 weeks to get them). This was quite some time ago in my instance but it could be the case...

The rails along with another piece I had been waiting for came in today so I"m back on track now. The machine shop said like 3 days to do the work so I'm looking at like thurs for the intake and then I take it to the exhaust shop where it shouldn't take more than one day and straight to Tune Time for the finishing touch.
By the way Aeromotive rails are much more heavy duty and better made than FAST rails...HANDS DOWN

Yup my dyno date is Weds at Tune Time performance if anyone that's local wants to come see this thing on the rollers. I don't know if Matt is gonna wanna really get to crazy with it before the motor is broke in. As much as I would love to spinn it to the moon and make the power I want everything in due time. Hell even with a breakin tune pussy footing it this thing will be tons of fun.
