Jake 03 on here has/had an edelbrock with his cammed truck. He said it picked up top like expected. Didn't notice any loss down low. Not sure if he tracked it?

Mated to a stock head it might still flow ok. Get it on an engine and the combo shits the bed. Velocity and pressure wave reflection need to compliment the valve events. If they don't, the engine will be a pig.
No manifold is the be all end all out of the box. Pick the manifold you can afford, modify to fit your needs, as long as you understand what those needs are. Careful attention to your valve events and port profile in the head will show you what needs to be done to get the most of your combo.
I hope this test Matt does is on a stock LS2. We will see what works with stock components. Small runners with good length will probably score the best average power.....FAST. Get a cam and a set of ported heads, I'd expect a shorter runner to get better average power....Edelbrock/Holley.

It's all about the combo as a whole...

Im with ya but i really dont see how it will be worth it except maybe boosted apps. Even then i dont think the Holley is gonna out flow the Edelbrock by that much if any but have been wrong before and very interested in the comparison.

Much love for a bottle jack right Greg?
I dont know about the cathedral port Holley intakes but I heard from a little birdie that the L92 intake wont fit under a stock hood and it looked VERY questionable as to whether it would fit under a Scott's hood. I want to see gains from one of these cathedral Holley intakes for sure though... more power is more power... even if its just a fist full...

Flow isnt always the answer. just because you can cram more cfm through it... does not mean its not going to work better than "x" or "y" intake.... as a whole.

there should be no problem getting it under a stock hood... but there is no massaging the cowl... its got to be cut... end of story.

Clearance issue was toward the front of the intake, not at the cowl.

Let the tools do the work! Cheap craftsman air hammer and the right body smoothing hammer bit for $15 and I have a full 1/2 clearance all the way around mine.

If the height and hat are the same as the L92 version the front will be the issue. From what I have seen from the Holley quality wise I would put it below the Fast and Edelbrock. I ordered one to use on a truck project but after looking over it decided to return it and use the FAST and some AFR 230 heads instead. This was a full size truck so fit was not an issue there.

im sorry... but the fast intake is not worth the 1200 bucks people spend on it or the 850 i spent on mine as far as quality goes...
2 split runner seals(where it seats into the base) when assembled by comp, and the runner screws 2 were half way backed out, and 3 more were a turn and a half from even being seated... i was WAY unimpressed with the quality control... so went over mine with a fine tooth comb... sent them an email, and the gentleman at comp who i now deal with was MORE than helpful... has been great to me service wise...
but for 1200 dollars i would expect alot more for the money.

That sucks i guess even with good products some shit just slides under the radar, mine was good though.
Guess we will just have to wait for Tune Time to do a comparison and justify #'s for #'s

I went over mine before drilling and installing and had no issues. I guess I got a good one. Worth it is up to each persons wallet and combo.

Gotta say... even though i'm stock, I wouldn't put 1200+ bucks towards an intake if I had boltons/cam... that would be saved for a maggie. kill two birds with one stone!
