Halo Headlights
Hey guys, I'm just having a little trouble installing these headlights.
I have everything wired up, but the headlight itself won't seat into the little spot in the front end that it's supposed to because of all the resistors and stuff that come with the halo headlights. Can any of you guys post a pic of how you organized all of your resistors/ballasts?

I'll snap a pic tomorrow if I can find some led 194's. I put the two "boxes" in the hole in the middle of the light. I think the widest part is the high beam side, you should be able to stack the two boxes and stick them on the vertical side without it sticking out too far and keeping it from locking in. Hope this helps, again I'll try to get inside pics tomorrow
Even if I don't find 194's, I'll take a pic of my old lights to show u

Don't worry about it I got them seated in there correctly.
Now they don't work though... LED bar doesn't work at all and halos don't come on at all. What could that be?

I tapped the red halo wire to the green/white wire from the led bar and the black halo wire to the black in the led bar as well.

I have to say I didn't do nearly as many things as you did. I put the spade connectors on the red and black halo wires and the maroon clips on the green/white wire and black wire from the LED bar. Then connected them.

the way i did it was get the LED wires from the headlights and splice them to the turn signal wire from the truck that will power up the LED's and the halo's, that way when you push the fog button the fogs and halo's and the LED's will turn on.. and no the halo will not blink when you use the turn signal when wiring them this way

Well did you use the stock plug again? When you take out the amber bulb for the stock turn signal, you can take out the plug and just put that little clip that comes from the wires for the LED bar in the stock plug, and then plug it into the accommodating plug coming from the truck. ( I believe it's grey and pink). I didn't have to splice all those extra wires into the three wires from the harness coming from the truck. I think we've essentially done the same thing. I'm gonna flip the plug around tomorrow I think that may be doing it.

yeah of course hook up the factory plug back into the socket where the LED's are at, and the 194 bulb i just used my factory one and worked fine

You used the factory plug and still had to splice all those wires? Fuck maybe I didn't do it right!! I was only told to splice the two halo wires to the green/white wire and the black ground wire coming from the LEDs and be done with it. But you have mad other connections.

yes and i think this is the easiest way to power these things up according to my friend who i trust with stuff like this he has done crazy shit with electrical hook ups to his car and others in the shop

Hmm I'll look at it tomorrow. Thanks for the input.
Do you think the fact that I have no corner bulb could affect this? I have the factory plug just taped up since I don't have any bulb to put in there. Do the stock corner bulbs work for these?

No prob man i am just sharing on what i know from what i asked on what he was doing and lucky for me i took some pics of the wires before i boxed them up and sold them.. and yes i used the factory bulb for the corner (194) and i don't think not having it plug up would affect it from coming on

Alright cool i'll tinker with it tomorrow and report back. These things have been a headache for me!
I ended up mounting all the resistors and ballasts to random parts in the car cause the headlight wouldn't secure in it's place cause they were in the way.

look in the first pic i double sided the lil black box aka Resistor to the inside of the headlight it will be clear and out of the way of things

I did mine just like Jose, u can see the box just below his thumb. As far as tapping wires, we used the black to black and red to brown on the blinker socket. I had no issues. The only other thing I ended up doing was cutting off the low beam male socket off my stock lights instead of getting an adapter for the h7

So you tapped the black to the black wire in the harness coming from the truck that has the three wires that plugs into where the LED bar is? And the red to the brown one right next to it? That makes a lot of sense.
