You know I dont get the bashing
Do I think Walter will make it, NOPE. Do I hope he does, YUP. I also hope that he does not hurt his truck. I also hope even if he does make it people will realize that this will not hold together for that long at the boost levels that it is at. But like he says he is going to test it before the nats so either he is right or we are right.
Some one was commenting on the 2k spent in arp stuff. I have way more then that in my motor and it is there for a reason. I not only went with the pan but have my accusump sitting right next to me. On top of that a nice new melling is going into the build. But really beating up on the guy accomplishes what? We have warned him. He is aware from his posts and I have never seen him beat up on someone who did not pick on him 1st.
Hey Walter good luck man (I hope you dont need it but think you will). If this truck runs any kind of decent number and holds up at all I will buy the beers man. If it does not hold up I will buy the shots and we can sit and talk about what to do about it brother. And no that is for Walter for trying some shit that I would not have anywhere near the stones to do myself. Everyone else can buy their own beers!! Except Tim I have been known to get him a few once in a while!

I hope you do it Walter and she stays together, but I have my doubts. You set your bar pretty high. I wish you luck, and I hope you laugh at this and not get pissed.

its the fact that he will not get close to 10's. lets say he makes 1000 awhp, everything holds up. on stock suspention and tires it will not tip 10's maby high 12's maby. and lets just face it. i would rather spend the 2k on a built tranny. then go from there.

I don't think any tbss has ever been 10s on street tires. Usually guys going that far are on DRs or slicks.

I was Damn Close.....11.21 IIRC. That was on HEavy Wheels. I think all my gain came from the weight, not the tires.

I think Walter expects to just roll into the throttle and still hit 10's. Think about it.... Stock wheels and tires, 4L70, stock pistons and he's hoping to spin instead of hook. I think Walter thinks that when the lights go green he'll be able to roll into the throttle and run 10's... Not gonna happen buddy...

I think that is about as close as you can get unless you are running on one of those super prepped tracks during an X275 race or something.

Walter needs to take a trip to Atco and pray for a super prepped track, a 30 mph tailwind and some -3000 DA.

Hopefully a headgasket goes before anything else as a lesson learned type thing (if he's going to try and run the 20psi), at least there's a fighting chance to fix that easily. Just not gonna happen with the PSI #'s he's talking, that is absolutely head stud territory. There ain't enough fuel/octane to help with those cylinder pressures.
And Walter you really do need to let go of the 100hp to drive a blower, not the case of TVS, Whipple, Kenne Bell, smaller centri blowers. Maybe an F2/3 or a BDS 14-71 yeah.
So how's the hotside coming along?
