question: I'm going from AWD 70 to RWD 80. I'm guessing I need that "boomerang" thing? is that, and the mount, stock trailblazer parts?

The mounts are the same, just added the "lip" to the transmission/frame crossmember.

here's my $20 crossmember. used some 4"x1/4" plate and extended mine back because i don't like the idea of having to drop the xmember to remove the pan...

Good job man, I love to see DIY projects!!
What has to be done to the driveshaft to make it work? Longer, shorter, or just a new yoke?

i've read that you can swap yokes. i'm going from awd so i don't have my hands on a ds yet to say i know for sure
so far my parts list:
3000 stall converter from phoenix trans - bolts to stock flexplate
B&M flexplate - mine was cracked
GM Dipstick 15183801
Tube 15832205
shifter bracket 15013290
32 spline yoke
alvin's 4l80 conversion harness
4L80 -6an cooler fittings - Sweet Performance
as well as braided line and fittings...
the big question is whether my kooks catted y pipe will clear......
