Input on Cam Selection for LSX 376
I wanted to get everyones thoughts on this cam for my LSX 376. Currently I do not have any boost but plan on installing a blower by years end. The cam is a Comp XER281HR-12 and the specs are:
ADV DUR: 281 283
DUR @ .5: 232 234
V Lift: .595 .598
Lobe Sep: 112

The valve events are wrong for that setup. Not saying you can't stab it in and make decent power but you could do much better.
Always better to do it right the first time.

That's the cam I'm running right now, but going to switch it out soon and get something bigger to give me more mid/top end but keep the torque.

So now that I have a blower should I change this cam out or leave it in. I would prefer to leave it in for a bit if possible, but don't want to waste the install of blower with this cam.

I'd say do a swap while you have the truck down. I wish I had while mine was being put together.

As I said before you could do better but it will work if you choose to leave it. You may need to pulley down more then your thought though.
