About to get the truck towed home. I picked up some license plate hardware already. If this rain stops I hope to have it running this afternoon. Not liking the gremlins lately.

Sean, thanks! That is a good looking upgrade for the factory garbage.

I ended up putting a bolt/nut in for a quick fix.

Crawled under there today and saw the linkage hanging down. Fairly fast fix, just remove the "arm" from the trans and drill off the attachment point so you can get a bolt through.

I'll post a pic tomorrow. I drilled and installed SS bolts, washers, and nylon nut. I tried the license plate s#^@, dont waste your money on that crap. Too flimsy for my parnoid mind.

I tried the license plate hardware myself and it didn't seem to work for me. I went with a stainless bolt/washer/nut combo. As for keeping a bolt in the glovebox...the factory attachment point needs to be drilled off so I'd keep some wire or zip tie to make it home. I was less than three miles from home so I had free towing with my insurance. Yes, it was a flatbed.lol

I'd be happy to snap a few pics, but I suck at posting them. PM me if any of you need to see this.
